East Pye Solar Development consent order details
The Parish Council have just received this regarding the East Pye Solar development for everyone's attention.
this East Pye Solar will soon be entering the Examination stage of the planning process. This is a six-month process that includes public hearings and opportunities for members of the public and stakeholders to share their views on the project.
On Monday 15 July 2026, the Planning Inspectorate (PINS) published a Rule 6 letter, to provide notification of a Preliminary Meeting and a draft timetable for the Examination. The Preliminary Meeting and first round of public hearings have been scheduled for 15 to 17 September 2026.
PINS has published this information on its website alongside notifying those who have registered to be kept informed.
Please find attached a Rule 13(6) notice setting out the details of the upcoming Examination hearings. This has been published online in the Documents section of our website (www.eastpyesolar.co.uk/documents).
If your Parish Council, library or community venue has somewhere appropriate to display this, then we would be grateful for you to do so to help further publicise the upcoming hearings to any interested members of the public.

Wacton Parish Council have now submitted their opposition to Planning regarding the scheme and this can be viewed on the planning portal.
Please see this attached LINK for Norfolk County Councils Official Response to the BESS planning application. Due to this it will cost Field a lot of monies to continue with this and we will keep our eyes open for any further communication on this application and will post on here and the noticeboards
Highways have replied in response to the issues they have found and also regarding the news that a holding objection has been lodged against the planning application.

Please note that the Parish Council have a new gov.uk email system now in place. This was a requirement of the External Auditor at the year end report in 2022-2023 and we have now got this all sorted so it that means we are less susceptible to scams and makes us look more professional.
